What makes ohDEER different from other pest control companies?
We ONLY offer all-natural products. Traditional pest control companies spray chemical products that leave behind harmful pesticide residues on your property. We apply our natural products with our trademarked Saturation Method that customers love and offer free resprays to make sure they get the control they need. We also offer services during the winter months so you can make revenue year-round.

When you purchase a franchise, you own the business for as long as you remain in the franchise agreement. It’s your business, and you have a support system and resources for success. Franchisors provide a proven system of operations, and it is up to the franchisee to drive the business forward every day. Once you have signed the Franchise Agreement we will schedule your training and onboarding sessions. Absent any personal needs to delay the start of training, or delays in acquiring the required equipment, you can be operational in 4-8 weeks.

No, our comprehensive training and support will bridge any gap in knowledge needed to operate an ohDEER location.

Yes, once you have successfully opened and operated your first ohDEER location you can apply for a subsequent Franchise Agreement. We do not currently offer a multi-unit discount to any of our fees.

What is the initial investment required to open an ohDEER franchise?
The total average initial investment required to open an ohDEER franchise, as shown in the FDD, is $116,280-$143,542, which includes our Initial Franchise Fee of $49,500, and the initial Territory Marketing Fee of $5,000.
What kind of ongoing training and support will I receive as an ohDEER franchisee?
We offer franchisees a robust sales training program, as well as marketing and technical support. Our marketing team will collaborate with you to come up with a detailed marketing plan using verified vendors. Bookkeeping is done for you, allowing you to keep track of accurate, up-to-date accounting records. Our in-house training videos and support team are here to help you solve everyday tech issues with your website and our CRM.
How long does initial training take?
Our four week-long initial training program will teach you everything you need to know about how to run your ohDEER franchise. You’ll learn sales, marketing, production, administrative tasks and much more through hands-on experiences both in the classroom and in the field.
What does a discovery day look like for ohDEER?
Discovery Day allows prospective owners to get a better feel for the ohDEER work environment, as well as an opportunity to meet members of the team and ask questions either virtually or in person.
Can I operate this business from my home?
When you begin you can operate this business from your home. After you have multiple trucks you will likely want to move to a shop.
Who will my customers be?
Your customers will be families, particularly parents and grandparents, who want to protect their kids, pets, and themselves from the dangers of tick and mosquito-borne illnesses, so they can enjoy more time outdoors. You’ll also serve homeowners who are passionate about maintaining their gardens and landscaping and want to keep them safe from deer damage.
Do I have an off season during the winter? Will I be able to make revenue year round?
Deer Control gives franchisees the opportunity to earn revenue year-round in a traditionally seasonal industry. The winter season will not be as busy as other seasons, but is an opportunity to focus on business planning for the next season while servicing your winter Deer Control and Winter Tick Control clients.
What does a typical day look like for an ohDEER franchise owner?
You are responsible for servicing clients, managing employees, and coordinating any other day-to-day operations necessary to make your business successful.
